Weekend Rundown

Hello everyone! First off, my best friend had her first child this past Friday and it set the tone for the whole weekend- such joy!! When I first received the news Friday morning with a few picture messages of her and her son, I literally burst out in tears. While driving to work. It was dangerous. I can’t wait to see this kid grow up over the years.

Saturday morning started with a trip to the Farmer’s Market. There are only a few weeks left to take advantage of this before the cold is upon us! We picked up some fresh flowers for the house, fresh veggies and some apples to make some homemade applesauce. (Recipe to come!)

Sunday was busy, busy, busy getting ready for the week but we managed to get a few moments to enjoy the beautiful weather. We had an early lunch at a restaurant called Market Salamander in Middleburg. It’s a quaint little market offering fresh baked pastries, wine, cheese and a full lunch menu. Yum – Yum – Yum. I got the Chicken Salad Sandwich and the hubby got pulled pork served on the best bun. I am a firm believer that the bread makes or breaks a sandwich. In this case, it made it. Luckily, my husband has gotten used to the “bite for a bite” policy for nearly all meals.

And I got to hang out with the drama queen a bunch-

I hope you guys had the most wonderful weekend too!
