It always makes it hard to accept it’s Monday when the weekend before was really, really good. This weekend was chock full of activities with friends, family and as always, cuddles with Bailey. I am feeling especially thankful and blessed this morning and what better way to share in some of the activities than with pictures?
Friday night was laid back after getting home late and wanting nothing more than to relax after the week with this one above. It still amazes me how she loves nothing more than to veg out on the couch and nestle in my legs. Whoever said this breed is vicious needs to spend an evening with a Pitbull.
Mom and Pop’s Coffee Shop has the best coffee and pastries for a perfect Saturday morning start to the weekend.
Saturday morning started with a stroll around Mosaic District by our house with a coffee, some shopping and oogling over the new restaurants that are always popping up there. I am dying to try Requin which just got listed as Top Restaurants in DC by Northern Virginia Magazine. It started as a pop up restaurant created by Mike Isabella and Jennifer Carroll (former Top Chef rivals) but has made its impression and it here to stay.
We attended a wedding in the evening for an old work friend. Showing up early has it’s perks when there’s a full bar in the lobby. The word of the day was “windy” on Saturday which led them to move the ceremony indoors but it was beautiful nonetheless. Congratulations to the new Mr. and Mrs.!
Take a gander at this gorgeous place cards table by Bergeron’s florals. The bride’s father made the wooden pieces for the individual cards. PROPS! I also got to see and catch up with my old boss and day of coordinator for our wedding. Of course, she did an amazing job assisting the beautiful bride at this wedding. If only I made a point of taking a picture with the bride. I’m working on it!
Obligatory picture of us in front of the monstrous chandelier. Perfect end of the night photo op. Note: I am fairly certain there is still a marshmallow in Ben’s mouth from the amazing s’mores station setup for late night snacks. Totally appropriate.
Sunday we focused on getting my husband’s new endeavor off the ground. He’s found his passion and I couldn’t be more proud. We setup his detailing setup at our friends’ auto shop – Nova Speed.
The afternoon came and my Mom and I went to visit my best friend, her adorable baby and her mother. There’s nothing better than a beautiful Sunday afternoon with scones, tea and long tim friends. I seriously don’t know how she manages to tend to an infant and also be the best host! Straight parenting goals right there.
I have lots of good posts this week so follow along to get the updates! You can subscribe to stay in the loop or follow along on Instagram 🙂
