Happy Wednesday everyone! Back to back leather inclusive what I wore outfits this month. This Draped Leather jackets is a new staple in my fall/winter wardrobe and I love everything about it. It’s comfortable (because really that’s the most important thing when dressing), keeps you warm and has some unique styling for maximum versatility. I’ve had some other draped jackets in the past but they all seemed to make me look frumpy to say the least. I think the leather really kicks it up a notch. Details below! Details: Jacket: Lord & Taylor Jeans: Paige Shoes: Target Purse: Marc Jacobs As always, feel free to follow along on instagram or pinterest until the next post 🙂
In my challenge to wear more of my “work clothes” as everyday attire, I have been mixing casual and dressy pieces from my wardrobe. Let me say, oh my- this skirt just feels so right. It’s so simple to dress up for work or dress it down for the weekend. The accordion pleats actually stay crisp while wearing it throughout the day to be perfectly in tact. Let’s be honest, I am not a “fashionista” and picking outfits doesn’t come naturally to me. I was not sure that these pieces would play well together but in the end, I think it works pretty well. Details: Skirt: J. Crew Top: American Apparel (similar- mine is an old style!) Button Down Shirt: Target Shoes: Audrey Brooke Hat: Target Necklace: World Market (similar) Lip Stain: J. Cat Beauty (from Birchbox) Purse: DSW I think this’ll be the last week I can get away with short sleeves and […]
I struck gold a few weekends ago when I was putting away my summer shoes and found a whole storage bin of my winter boots I forgot I owned…it actually made me feel somewhat guilty to have so many shoes sitting away without knowing I owned them. The good news: I have a plethora of boot options for this season! It also got me wanting to take another stab at rummaging through my closet to donate to Good Will again. Once I find time, it will be done! In the meantime, I will get full use out of my existing shoe collection and pair them with some new pieces in my closet. Prime example below in my What I Wore: Sweater Dress edition. This past weekend was WINDY. I wore this dress out and then had to immediately go back inside to add a pair of leggings to be warm […]
We’re halfway through the week everyone! A big cheers to that and to a new What I Wore post. While deciding what to throw together this past weekend, I agreed it’s time to test the waters with the lace up style shirt. I opted for a more fitted version to go with the new flowy (is this a word?) skirt I have been loving since the moment I bought it. In my opinion, it is a match made in heaven. See the details below! The skirt is effortless to wear and can easily be paired with some warmer tights in the coming months! My Mom brought me these earrings back from a trip to New Mexico. I wish I had a few more pairs to last me a lifetime because they’re so fun to add to an outfit for a pop of color. The purse was a gift to myself after a nice little bonus I […]
Happy Wednesday everyone! Another week, another outfit. I will admit this week I was not grooving with the outfit choices in my closet. It might be about that time for a Fall wardrobe “pick-me-up” to add some UMPH into my closet. But really..do you ever have those days that you simply cannot find a single thing to get excited about? Then inevitably there are about 12 pairs of pants on the ground piled on top of blouses, shoes and jackets? It looked like a bomb went off before I decided on an outfit. I need to invest in a few staple pieces to switch out with my more basic items that I currently have a good hold on. This vest is one of the pieces I love to throw over most shirt styles to spruce them up a bit. Details: Vest: Kensie Top: Loft Bottoms: Nordstrom Shoes: Steve Madden Necklace: Madewell Thanks […]
I can’t even begin to guess the amount of times I’ve worn these leggings since I purchased them on sale a couple seasons back (no shame here…). The key is to have them meet some new pieces in my wardrobe to bring them to life and keep me current. These booties are my jam right now. Wearing them on repeat. This shirt feels like you’re wearing your boyfriends’ oversized t-shirt because it’s that super comfy jersey material AND as an added bonus, it covers the booty. Because nobody likes wearing leggings with a short shirt. So much green in this post! We’re allowed to just give into our #basic tendencies every once in a while, right? This past weekend came and went with a mess of rain and chilly weather making it perfect to slip into cozy autumn inspired basics. Black sweater, jeans, booties and my blanket oversized tartan scarf. This scarf goes on for days and I did, in fact, dual purpose it this past weekend and use it as a blanket. I might just wear these booties everyday until Spring. So comfortable and the color goes with nearly everything. Probably still admiring the comfort of the boots and making sure they’re rain resistant 🙂 A guest appearance by her Highness above. She’s not one for smiling for the camera. Details: Sweater: Nordstrom Jeans: Joe’s Jeans (Found at Nordstrom Rack) Scarf: Target * I found mine in the $1-$10 section as you walk in. At $7. No joke. Boots: Lucky Brand Nails: Essie – Masterplan
This weekend officially brought the cooler temps and we’re all looking to make the transition as smooth as possible, yes? I can’t seem to give up my skirts and bright colors. I absolutely adore this skirt I got from Madewell a few weeks back and thought I would share it before I retire it for the season. I paired it with a fall inspired top (mostly in color because it’s really a basic staple in my wardrobe) to ease the transition. I decided to go sans a necklace. It just seemed right with this laid back look. A few leaves on the ground already! This bag was a recent purchase and it’s the perfect size between my previous Mary Poppins size bag and my “night on the town” purse. In love. Details: Skirt: Madewell Shirt: J. Crew Shoes: Old Navy (last year) I, personally, am so excited that it’s officially Fall and can break out […]
Hello friends! I wore this getup for a new tradition my hubby and I just started a few weekends back. Every Sunday we are getting out of the apartment and grabbing a drink, some fro-yo, a coffee or dinner together before the week starts and our lives get too busy to enjoy quality time together. It’s been going just swimmingly so far. I am currently obsessed with this striped bell sleeves top and am trying to get every ounce of wear from it before the weather turns cold. We only have a few weekends left to enjoy white pants everyone! *No white pants after labor day no longer applies in my book* Outfit Details: Striped Bell Sleeved Top – Zara Pants – J. Crew (similar) Bag- Marc Jacobs Fedora Hat – Forever 21 Necklace – Forever 21 Happy Wednesday everyone!
