Homemade Applesauce

Happy First day of Fall everyone! To celebrate, I am sharing a warm homemade applesauce recipe below. For this recipe, I used Jonathan apples I picked up from the Farmer’s Market this past weekend but any type of apple will do. A mix of Gala and Granny Smith would work well to give a sweet and tart combo.  I choose not to add any added sugar to my recipe because it’s sweet enough as it is. Trust me!  As you can tell, I am not a pro at getting a really long apple peel but the result is still the same so I can live with it. Roasted Fig & Burrata Crostini with Balsamic Glaze

The search is over. The winner for best cheese to enter your life is….burrata. A semi-soft Italian cheese very similar to mozzarella but with an added filling of cream. Add this to some roasted figs with balsamic and you’re golden.  It was a weeknight and I was flying solo for dinner so I decided to do something with the burrata I had in the fridge. I love small plate restaurants or getting a bunch of appetizers to share for the table for dinner. So when the opportunity arises for me to make myself a bunch of appetizers for dinner, I jump on it.
